Femuary

It's the time of the year to paint lady minis!
@twisted moon
female figures, preferably sensibly equipped to competently achieve whatever they're attempting
I think we all know what that's about and it's a good point imo.
Let's get started!

Leading by example if not by rank here's trooper Vaskez /Rutherford.
Her name changes between Dec '87 and Feb '88 leading me to assume that she either married Mr Rutherford or Mr Vaskez died.
Either she's defending home and husband with lasgun in hand and stars in her eyes or she's an embittered widow secretly hoping for nothing better than a soldier's death.

Ol' rule of composition in modelling: chaos is good, tidiness is bad. F*ck geometry:lol::lol::lol:

Yeah I will disguise it with tavern floor detritus, some straw, a dropped bit of food, maybe a bottle.
I am not doing the bases again.

Probably.

Great opportunity to paint up one of the Bad Squiddo miniatures :)
do it.

my (first, all being well) contribution is olivia neutron-bomb, the boyl 2017 event miniature.

Olivia Neutron-bomb1.jpg

she'll be joining my punks.

i had had some pretensions to paint her in a tank girl style, but that didn't survive beyond my looking at reference pictures.

i did try and get an australian reference in though.

Femuary goes back a looong way in time. Lady Zonleigh the '87 paladin.

I kitted her out with a rather large "Relic Shield" which confers a considerable bonus to paladins until it is returned to its rightful resting place - which should be a compelling side quest for every Joris or Jolanda Goedzak who happens to pick one from, say, a vanquished troll's hoard.

Very nice figure and back story. Although I'm not sure half a dead body stuck to a shield screams 'respect for the dead.' 😉
