Slight changes made.
I made the X's on the barrel a bit neater, I added roasted peanuts to the bar snacks and unlike the original paintjob I did the bar towel across the pony in the same colours as the bar towel on the wagon and painted the letters on it.

On the Slayer front, I have broken out the tufts and grasses…

This is a thing of beauty - I must dig mine out of the pile of projects to do, lots of inspiration - and now I know those are bar snacks! I was wondering what on earth that bit was 🤣

Yup bar snacks. KP peanuts for sure innit.
Then a corkscrew on the other side for ladies and elves as clearly they drink wine or babycham.
The bar towel on the cart says Bugmans, and I am 95% sure the bar towel on the pony says Drink, which makes sense as when laid on a bar that is a clear message.
 
Participate at the last possible moment wit hthe least possible effort - I feel like I need to apologize. Wish I could've done more but sometimes life doesn't work as we want it to. Aaanyway...

Dunno really what it is, will probably end up as a bugbear baby but it definitely is both short and hairy, so that counts, right? Right?
 

[Warfork Fantasy Battles] MM90/1 - Chaos Dwarf​

I went through my pile of shame and picked a classic Ally Morrison Marauder Miniatures sculpt as my entry - and nearly did not manage to finish it in Feb. Last minute call :-)


I mounted the mini on a metal base as usual.

As it was only one mini, I underpainted it by brush with Molotow One4All Black.




This was followed by a Pro Acryl Bold Titanium White drybrush.




Over this zenithal, I then started painting. I had in my inspiration collection an image of a Chaos Warrior (took the screenshot in such a great way, that I can't tell anymore if it was John Blanche or Mike McVey who painted it, and of course did not down the source I got it from...) which I decided to use. Turned out, the green armour plates on the dwarf were too small for my skill to place the lightning there, but otherwise, this was my paint scheme.




I used Kimera colours, using their leaflets of colour combinations for my colour gradients.








My NMM isn't very good, but I like to experiment with it, still waiting for the great click in my brain to happen...

Figure looks great and I definitely wouldn't be too hard on yourself about the NMM. If you're not sure where to highlight one trick is to take a photo of the unpainted metal miniature with a strong light above (and maybe a bit to one side) and then use that as a painting guide to the metals. It can really help, especially on complex figures.

Or don't worry as the Chaos dwarf looks great.

So much awesome dwarf stuff on the last day. You can tell we're all 'deadline' people :lol:

Definitely counts, short and hairy! Loads of character - looks great!
 
Here you go folks!

Finished decorating the bases and cleaned up the rims. The PVA is still setting on the flocking, so will get a better photo tomorrow when it clears up a little. May add some decorative tattoos at a later stage and touch up where my greasy fingers have rubbed paint, but otherwise calling it done!

Oh and the movement tray is getting some work done to better fit the style of my army too. (not sure why I used a lighter brown as the initial coat…)….

They look great! How have you done the bases? They look far more natural than my efforts.

You can see what I used for the bases in the earlier photo, 2 types of tufts, a lump of Jarvis foliage and a mix of Army Painter green flock & mixed herbs PVAed. Didn’t use the static grass in the end as it is fiddly to affix in place. I think the trick is to use a mix of basing materials to create believability.
