Quite. I'd avoid anything with acetone in when it comes to plastics (or resins) I wanted to keep.

Found the stripping thread where you mentioned it. There are a few other suggestions for plastic over there.

Anyhow it'd be nice to see some of the old Dwarf plastics again, this month or any other time for that matter!

Hopefully I'll have chance to pull some things out this weekend. I'm determined to start a WIP/general stuff thread

Quite. I'd avoid anything with acetone in when it comes to plastics (or resins) I wanted to keep.

That's why I work fast. Couple of minutes soak, toothbrush and soapy water rinse. I did forget and leave a 2nd ed plastic Plague Marine soaking once, looked interesting but not an effect I wanted to replicate, I think I got to it just before gloopification.

Turns out they were near the surface. Here's a bunch of the psycho dwarfs, with some very early paint jobs. I think front right may be the very first I ever did. There an early conversion in there too 🤣. These should eventually get some tlc, repair and paint. I've still got a few more in the box along with heads and bits, but very few shields.

I dont think I've ever seen so many in one place! Back in the day, when you could get 5 metal figures for 2.50 they never seemed such good value even at pocket money rates. And those paint jobs bring back a lot of nostalgia as they look just like all mine from back in the day, so much so are you sure I didnt paint them? It's the eyes that age them, you can always tell with the eyes... Really looking to see how these turn out, especially as I'm loafing by just doing one.

I think I have 38 in various states of repair, but bits to fix them. I thought I'd ordered 15, actually got 45! Some have evidently been lost to time. If I manage to get through my other Februhairy projects I'll make a start on one or two for sure.
