Februhairy

Progress for Februhairy so far. If I manage to get Helga done, that could be a twofer for Femuary too. Would that be Femuhairy?

I've got a couple of modern bloodbowl gnomes and a badger on the go too, they're all pretty hairy, but not really Oldhammer.

Six for £100? :) https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204933425909
actually from the shop I bought my first Citadel Miniatures from ...
I must be sat on a goldmine! My first models I bought were Psychostyrene dwarfs. I thought I'd bought 3 blisters, but ended up with 3 boxes of 5 blisters. None are on the sprues though, and I think my earliest paint jobs may have damaged the value a bit!

Speaking of which, does anyone know how best to safely trip Psychostyrene dwarfs?!

I'd use Fuse Biostrip myself. I'm currently using it on some polystyrene Squats. Although I'm not leaving them in super long (with metals I'll forget about them for days or weeks) after someone else did have some woes with a resin or plastic not too long ago. I've not personally seen any issues with plastic arms and the like, but given the price of plastic Squats I'm being a touch cautious! Anyhow I would imagine the Psychostyrene dwarfs are similar high impact polystyrene plastic, they certainly look it and are unlikely to be anything else.

I'll give it a cautious go. I had a fine cast banner bearer go squishy in biostrip. I think I'll test it on a broken weapon or something first.

Maybe it was your banner that was making me a bit more cautious then? I remember someone having some woe. Finecast resin being a lot softer than polystyrene I can see it being less robust. I just did my (test) Squat for probably a couple of hours at most, I forget exactly. Must do another batch actually.

I still strip with nail polish remover, even with plastics. I just work quick.
That contains acetone!
Quite. I'd avoid anything with acetone in when it comes to plastics (or resins) I wanted to keep.

Found the stripping thread where you mentioned it. There are a few other suggestions for plastic over there.

Anyhow it'd be nice to see some of the old Dwarf plastics again, this month or any other time for that matter!
