I've only just noticed thread and I have to comment on what you did to Nagash.. it's amazing the difference the resculpt to his face makes. I always thought it was his hat that made him look stupid when it's actually been his face! Very nice to see him look more like how he does on page 15 of the Undead army book. The other models are obviously very nice as well but as an Undead player who hates how Nagash looks I just had to comment!
Thanks very much.
Here are some WIP shots so you can see what was done:
I have resurrected Nagash, Supreme lord of the undead.
As you can see there has been some green stuff work on the head.
I wanted him to look a bit more like this wonderful Mark Gibbons art work
I was able to get the very talented
rikard from the Warseer forum (who now sculpts for AoW don't you know) to have a crack at copying Marks art.
... and here he is ready for some paint.
I had a crack at the glowing eyes ... but talentless hack that I am ... i couldn't pull it off:
Before:
The idea:
After:
And here he is on the base.
Really pleased with how this worked out
The hands really look like they are reaching to get a touch of the robes:
When I was trying to position him on the base I accidentally placed him stepping on the zombies hand.
I couldn't help but smile and I think I will leave him there.
I have always enjoyed the the comedy elements which are as much part of Warhammer as the 'grim, dark'.
