Maybe this'll be a thing in the future for me, but for now I'm just painting this warlock as a one off...

If I get round to an army I'd love to paint it super basic - basecoat, highlight maybe blackline. Except for the characters.

That's perfectly fine in my book. As John Blanche demonstrated, not everything has to be an attempt at trying out for `Eavy Metal.

The robe looks almost iridescent.

Probably will emulate my latest loyalist marines and go for white casing on the sword. Might try black and yellow on the ribbed piping, but if not - dark blue

Weirdly, I have the opposite feeling. Like just don't touch the iridescent thing that's just washed up on the beach ⛱️ nature's warning... & jellyfish! Great painting on the mini!

Superb work - the colours on the cloth are so well blended they look like you've done them with artists pencils - love the texture.
