Editions- what to call them?

So a few of you may know I've been collecting the complete set of Warhammer rules and supplements (1st through 8th) with a view to rebinding all of them together as a matching set. Not far to go now, and the question is... what to call each volume?

3rd to me will always be Oldhammer and 4th (maybe even 5th) Herohammer, but what to call the others?

Dawnhammer? Originalhammer?

Suggestions for volumes 1,2,5,6,7 and 8 please. :)

I'm very fond of my first edition and forces of fantasy books, but I've never had the urge to play with 1st edition rules, so I like your idea of Dawnhammer.
2nd edition is Oldhammer ;)
3rd edition is Completehammer, army lists, siege rules, siege model, RoC books.

Yes I like Endhammer, or maybe Finalhammer. Sorry but Oldhammer is staying as third... it was the first version I played so will always be that for me. :)

Dawnhammer?
Rolehammer?
Oldhammer
Redhammer?
Herohammer
?
?
Endhammer

Never played 6th or 7th so not sure what their characteristics are. Maybe 7th should be Hordehammer or similar as a nod to the increasing size of models needed to play? Or Smoothammer as a reference to the crap attempt at fur and textures created by digital sculpts? :)

Since (apparently) 6th was meant to redress the OP characters of 5th and put the focus back on troops maybe:

Dawnhammer
Rolehammer
Oldhammer
Redhammer
Herohammer
Corehammer
Hordehammer
Endhammer

?

No way 7th is Hordehammer, more Cavhammer if the loudest people are to be believed. 8th was horde, or Buymorehammer, leading to Bigfragilecenterpiecehammer :)

6th could have been Toneitdownhammer? Or indeed Blandhammer if you liked the silliness of 5th?

To be honest, I think it's all a bit tacky with the names, Oldhammer included :( A simple set of numbers/numerals would look cool to me. Perhaps even use each editions logo? I love seeing the different versions over the editions.

Controversial!

1st to 3rd are Oldhammer™

Everything else? Just call it "derivative, unoriginal, vaguely tinkered with but not improved hammer" lol.

If they're for your bound books, I'd go for Warhammer followed by a roman numeral, so..

Warhammer
Warhammer II
Warhammer III

etc.

Feels like volumes of collected editions without being too gimmicky.

I'll number the spines, but I want them to be a bit more fun than just' Warhammer Numeral'.

I'm also interested in the development of the system. I don't think any of them are bad or 'unoriginal', they just emphasise different things. Personally I like story so I'll go with 2nd (not played any 1st) and 3rd for that. But for a game with more troops I'd probably pick 8th and for a game with lots of magic 4th or 5th. That's why I want to brand them differently, to reflect that they are different 'flavours' of game within the same world and framework.

1st : Oldhammer dawn
2nd : Oldhammer Zenith
3rd : Oldhammer Dusk
4th : Redhammer
5th : Herohammer
6th : Mildhammer
7th : Mildhammer reborn aka Mildhammerer
8th : Hordehammer
9th : Endhammer

8th is definitely hordehammer, 10 man ranks anyone ? , 6th and 7th would be Mildhammer and milderhammer

Do you mean mildhammer or middlehammer? I don't really get "mildhammer."
