The Jugger was never cast for long, and bear in mind it was long oop (That includes mail order) when White Metal was first used. And no in 2000 you could not order it as not everything was available in the back catalogues (I worked at GW at that point and had Chaos Dwarfs so i'm 100% sure)

That's what I was unsure of, i've never really undesrtood what could and what couldn't be ordered though, everything I wanted was available (mainly Roc era warriors and champions, renegades and things of the sort). I take your word on that, I'm pretty sure if I had been a CD player smyslef I would have tried to order it, yet i don't know why I didn't order the full genestealer range back then... :?

Anyway, thanks Chico for clearing this.

The juggernaut was on the red 1991/1992 catalog and was available from US mail order archive service until at least 1999 (with a lot of other oop stuff, like the nurgle palanquin), I bought 2 at the time, the castings are the same ones as in the ebay picture, in very brittle and shiny white metal...

Pretty much the rule was if it was in a UK Catalogue and had a number code and wasn't LE/Splash Release/Lost licence/Slotta and they had the moulds then you was able to order it. The amount of crap I bought from Mail Order was insane but not I have next to nothing surviving. Of course the US and UK had different molds and rules, Man O'War was a classic case of the US having the molds and the UK didn't for a little while

Complete recast. This has popped up for sale a few times previously with the same seller. Outside of the protective bubble of "Private" auctions, check the sellers history; you can find all sorts of exciting gems. ;)

If interested, the thing to pay attention to is that there are no apparent complaints & the detail looks great. If you are ok shelling out a chunk for that particular model, I'd be pretty sure you'd be happy with it.

OK so Treps confirms (and so do you Chico) that there exists Juggers from the late 90's cast in white metal.

Don't know about you but the white metal casts of these old references were not anywhere close to the quality of the lead ones, a lot of my renegades were bought this way and when I get my hand son older ones (in lead) details are always better on older models (moulds were quite old and white metal casting was not old I guess).

I don't know as far as the juggernaut is concerned but my understanding of it is :
Models that were no longer in production could still be ordered from the mail order or from the warhammer world up until 2000 or something. At that time you could still order beakie marines, RoC champions and lots of long OOP references as long as you had their original references (like those in the citadel catalogues). Some Juggers can be far youger than the orignal batch and yet totally official.
My guess is that some people may have ordered some Juggers at that time becaus I did excatly the same thing with the palanquin and other things (Now I come to think of it, it was the birth of oldhammer:grin:).

even the 2005 giant catalog had a ton of very old models available
