My thinking was that one day I might take the modern banner and fit it to one of the old models.

The more modern Ironbreaker models command high prices on eBay. Was lucky with the ones I picked up as were mislabelled…

Considering this, will keep an eye out for a suitable model.
Happy to look at other manufacturers, Black Tree models follow similar design aesthetics.

Picked up a few more Iron Breakers, including a standard bearer without his banner, so have done a simple conversion so he is the pride of the unit again!

The clear flying stand may actually be sound on this model as there is sufficient recess. Version 3 is bigger and only has a tiny hole to fit one, so I have pinned that.

If you're anything like me you'll be cursing the fact you've attached the rotor blades before painting the rest. I found it a right fiddle getting to some of the details. I need to finish the rest of my flight 🚁🚁🚁. Definitely the best gyrocopter model though!

Yes I had three of these pro painted. Very nice models but I realised that what wanted was the army I could have had in 1989
