First test room for warhammer quest made from hirst arts blocks and quickly painted using the cheap ebay airbrush and compressor I got for xmas from the wife.

Wow, the colours on the blue and yellow dude are amazing. The skeletons are pretty damn good as well.

Are you planning on mixing up the colours of your dungeon tiles or sticking to the scheme you show in the pic?

I saw this posted on the FB page and have spent the last hour researching Hirst Arts blocks and looking at the various moulds and materials needed and now my Heroquest 2015 project has taken on an entirely new direction.

Thank you and damn you both at the same time

Looks awesome btw. Also which mould size is this? I was looking at getting the #203 - cracked floor tile but it doesn't say what size they are.

in hindsight i should have bought the large inch and half blocks, these are only 25mm.
i'll dig the numbers out for you when i get home.
If i manage to get enough blocks cast in the next month or so for my rooms I can loan you these moulds so you can cast up yours, they are kinda pricy to start up with, so it would save you some money.

Nice, I would love to have a set of those myself, good balance of visuals and practicality in the design of the tiles. The airbrush is a great way to get them done.

Two sessions of casting and a few hours glueing later I've made this sewer room, I bought some clear pouring resin which I will tint green to fill the lower level, from which I intend to model some tentacles emerging from the dirty effluent to ensnare my intrepid adventurers.

Have you done any corridors? The rooms are looking fantastic but would love to see how you do your corridors.

Not yet JP, I enquired at warbases about cutting me the mdf to the T and L shapes needed for the corridor sections, but I've yet to place an order.
I'll probably start the corridors last, as they will be pretty simple, not sure i'll even add a wall to them

Sewer room painted up and with polyester resin poured into the lower section to make sewer water, the resin bubbled a little at the end of curing around some of the detritus I scattered underneath like the sand and the skeleton torso, but otherwise it worked out ok

That is very nice. I need to try my hand at acrylic water one of these days. (Not too much call in a desert world, but hey . . . maybe there's still a lake or two. Have to be at least a few streams somewhere.)
