Wait, Ion Age is over 20 years old?Zhu Bajie":p2h8xp4f said:Well, Ion Age, a bit like Warzone/Mutant Chronicles and Kryomek doesn't really have any horror elements, and is over 20 years old, and can't really be said to be part of a 'renaissance' that's happening now. DSR is a bit more than 'stuff that looks like a 40k clone with space marines', so not all those things are relevant really.

They used to have much better cover illustrations. Firefight looks almost like someone was disappointed in direction Rogue Trader went and wanted to do something that looks similar to early first edition.
Yeah, but Ion Age had a new edition. Firefight 2.0 was released in the end of 2009 and there was whole bunch of games and miniatures, including 15mm ones released in 2010s and I would be surprised if it wasn't driven by Oldhammer becoming popular. So, most of that stuff is completely new, especially vehicles.
Weird I always felt like Warzone/Mutant Chronicles took the horror aspect of Wh40k and turned it up to eleven. I just disliked their designs and miniatures.
