Don Hans Chaos Army Gallery

Hi-de-ho,

Chaos has always been my favorite stuff to paint. The "anything goes because it chaos" and the great minis are the reasons why. I have since April/May been working on a chaos old school army with both golden era but also a few pre-slotta minis. So though I'll will show this stuff here on this great forum.

First out is the latest addition to the army, a unit of C38 and Runequest beastmen. It's still WIP but here are he first four C38:s

Those are really cool beastmen : really mutated and twisted, not only the current goatsmen (beware, I have nothing against goats, but I regret the "goats only" look of the current beastmen range);
Painting is really nice, and your bases are awesome.

I hope to see more, as it's a great start !

Thanks!

I agree - I do prefer using all kinds of animals instead of just goats. Fan of the "later" beastmen (i.e. later 80s) as well but just think if Bob and Jes went all in on their beastmen using all kind of animals: Sweeeeeeeet

Thx/Hans

Your paint schemes and basing are great, very chaotic. How do you do the bases? I have some goodies coming from eBay and would like to achieve a similar 'weird' look.

Hi-do-ho,

Alright, next unit is the Thugs. A quite bright bunch considering Nurgle is the god of my army.

The unit isn't finished yet, will add a few more including a standard bearer.

Those thugs are just beautiful  As happens so often on this forum you have completely changed my mind about those miniatures, never liked them before but yours look really, really nice - going to have to keep an eye on this thread....

I have been visiting your blog for a while now.
I really love your painting style.
That's a very impressive collection of beautifully painted miniatures you have assembled.

I've been loving your blog, mate :)

As Selkie said, you've made me appreciate some models that I'd otherwise not be interested in.

Wow, I've somehow missed this thread and your blog. Excellent stuff. And you've done a very good job expressing the mood captured in the old Chaos art. Imo, that's one of the hardest things to do when painting miniatures.

Thanks everyone for the kind words

And now the chaos dwarfs. Another unit not finished but only a few left.

Hope you enjoy /Hans

Thanks!!!

And here is the cavalry - still working on the leader. Slow progress as I am very obsessed with the old solid base beastmen at the moment.

Anyway - hope you like 'em.

Oh my goodness, what beautiful painting!

I love your work on the shields, almost a Maori/Polynesian/Islander feel to some of them...just awesome.

Thanks Count Von Bruno!

Funny you should mention Maori - got the same comment from Asslessman some time ago :)

A few more beasts and beatman to the Beastmen unit: C29 Giant Beetle, C38 Goatman and C22 Giant Snail
