Hi!
Fantasy Warlord got panned when it was first released but its actually quite decent. It could have done with a slightly more streamlined system but the artwork throughout more than makes up for it!
As for other systems which are decent, No Quarter is fantastic and freely available from here: http://www.wargamesunlimited.net/noquarter/index.html
Theres also Crucible, sadly out of print now but originally produced by FASA just before they shut up shop. Its got a good revised take on the typical fantasy races and the rules themselves are excellent. Sadly the miniatures range produced for it were somewhat less than stellar!
