Current Sales going on

Had planned to visit Tim’s stall at Salute but didn’t get time to browse the traders stalls (my wallet and partner were thankful)… Had a look at the new units and Hammer the Hammer model at Lead & Steel and was tempted! 😁

I'm very VERY iffy with Etsy.. it's mostly a dropship site with alot of people who steal STL (the amount who sell STLs which the creators put up for free..) there are SOME trustworthy sellers but... most of etsy has been thiefs and scammers for soo many years.

There KINDA are ways but... not great.
Oh and Forgot the amount of recasts and 'lets scan old figures and sell the STLs' there are...
still, I'm not against ALL sellers on etsy.. but the place was kinda build to be more bootleg and scams then eBay, and even alot of die-hard sellers have figure out (in the last year) that.. yep.. it is.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I've always felt the Etsy/3D Printer/Resin world didn't really align with Oldhammer.

It's hit and miss. There's a lot of stuff there that really, really doesn't. But there are some shops that I think do. There's absolutely some great digital designers out there. Critical Miniatures has some really lovely stuff, for instance. As does Mojo Amok. It can be a decent way to get physical stuff for a reasonable price, particularly for those of us who don't have 3D printers. But . . . a lot of the designs they sell are available elsewhere as STLs and I don't personally know how to police it, so . . . see below.

That's one of the problems with STLs as a creator. It's impossible to police them once they're out there.

There are certainly sellers that are problematic, but I at least suspect there's also some legit Oldhammerers who sell through the service. Would it be worth creating a list of trustworthy sellers who've been vetted by the forums? Is Critical Miniatures a legit source for Big Mr Tong's stuff, for instance? I have a business card from a 3D designer I got at BOYL last year. I don't know him myself, but he was on speaking terms with a lot of people I respect, and we shared a beer in honor of Street, and that goes a long way. As you say, hard to truly police things, but maybe more achievable to point people in the right direction? I'd personally love a reliable resource recommending places.
