Slave to Darkness
Lord
Totally forgot the blood angel had ruby's for nipples. 🤣
The Aly Morrison sculpt? They can bloody well re release the OG Heinrich Kemmler mini then!
I think this pretty much sums up my lead addiction. Considering buying a duplicate of a figure you've owned for over 30 years even though you've yet to paint the first one! (or in extreme cases not even taken out of the blister....)Bit of a shame the four captains are being sold as a single pack, that (much like it did for me with the Eldar) probably is going to push them too high to bother picking up, I'd not have minded the Space Wolf chap. Doubt they will be the £2.50 each I paid for a captain last time round, also I suppose since this chap is still not painted buying even more models is a bit foolhardy...
Could be that. I haven't bothered with any stripping and repair work cause.. I'm not sure what to make of it (both as a model and physically)Guess you are referring to Astorath? https://wh40k.lexicanum.com/wiki/Astorath#Images
Quite. There is also a little bit of - well maybe I should keep that one as an "archive copy" for posterity - and buy one to paint ... (again in this case as it happens). Incidentally I just bought a Thrud because I can't remember where my other one is (at least I bought a different sculpt just in case I find it). Might even be with my brother, otherwise I'd have thought I'd have stumbled on it at some point.Considering buying a duplicate of a figure you've owned for over 30 years even though you've yet to paint the first one! I'd guess the sculpt was probably influenced/inspired by the Red Vlad the Impaler from the Gary Oldman Dracula movie: https://www.studioauctions.com/Gary_Oldman_Red_Armor_from_Bram_Stoker_s_Dracula-LOT1119.aspxA guy wearing someone's skinned muscles with a jump pack. plastic.. interesting enough model but doesn't make sense as a space marine and its too tame for Chaos.. guy looks human and all, just wearing someones muscles as a suit of armour.. weird

Aye, that sexy lil fella. The Aly Morrison sculpt?
It surprises me when really early sculpts come back. My understanding is that in the Ansell days sculptors were owed royalties for their work, which complicates things. It might not be corporate greed, they may just have lost the paperwork.
I saw a nice lil mini of Oldman Vlad I that armour a while ago. Can't remember where I saw it though. ☹️Quite. Its a pretty cool model, but different strokes for different folks!Could be that. I haven't bothered with any stripping and repair work cause.. I'm not sure what to make of it (both as a model and physically)
I kinda hated everything about that film. One of this lets insult the author kinda jobs. Dracula was NOT Vlad the Impaler... While he got the name from Vlad's family, that's it. why people must be stupid and go for 'They are the same person' all the time is beyond me.. I'm not even a huge fan of the book but it's the kinda thing that really annoys some of the people who go into all that research on Stoker.I saw a nice lil mini of Oldman Vlad I that armour a while ago.
