Classic Chaos Daemons: A Showcase

Greetings all.

Some of you may know me already from the FB group or from my blog Classic Chaos Daemons. For some unknown reason, I've only just got round to joining the forum, despite being a lurker for quite a while... I thought by way of an introduction, I'd do a small showcase of my recently finished stuff. I'll keep this to finished models only as we're in the showroom, but if you're interested in WIP pics and a bunch of rambling, incoherent thoughts, you can check out my blog. Now, pictures!

Hope you like em!

Greetings all.

Just a reeeeally quick update from me tonight. Got some bits done:

Got this guy finished off. I'm not as pleased with him as I could be, but he'll do just fine!

Painted up another magic marker, this time representing "Warp Speed":

And finished off the last of the blue Screamers:

More very soon!

Edit: Shoddy pictures I know, and I do apologise... I'll do better ;)

Great paintjobs on some old classics.

And some not-so-old!
Those Screamers are amongst my favourite Daemons as they remind me so much of Brian Lumleys Wamphyri beasts.
Got some of my own to do for Strange Aeons as Winged Horrors.

Thanks dudes :) I did actually get them out on the table last night for the first time in a long time (current 40k mind...). Unfortunately I was too busy getting my bottom smacked to take any pictures...

Greetings all.

Quick update from me. I finished off the last of my Screamers, and painted up a marker to represent "Forewarning":

It's been a good year for me painting-wise, and I'll be posting a little retrospective in the next few days so look out for that.

Cheers!

Greetings all.

I wrote up a little review of my year of hobbying. I wont repost the whole thing here, but you can read more on my blog.

Everything I have painted this year can be seen in the picture below (y'know, if you squint and maybe use a magnifying glass):

Greetings all.

Got my first models of 2015 done:

My summoned Plaguebearers needed some command models, so I bashed these chaps out. A small amount of conversion work went into three of the four, but nothing too heavy.

Comments welcome of course!

Greetings all.

It's been too long since I posted anything, but I'm here to rectify that!

I painted up another magic marker, this time for "Misfortune":

I also painted up some Nurglings, since 7th edition made them go from useless to extremely useful:

Comments are welcome!

Love the markers, very clever.

What made nurglings good now? I haven't looked at 7th yet. Did they change instant death vs swarms. That was bad.

Cheers dude! Nurglings (like all swarms) used to be unable to score, but now they CAN score and gain the "objective secured" rule (super scoring). If you need a cheap troop choice, they're perfect!

Greetings all.

Got some real work done recently, and got a few more daemons painted up to beef up my squads a bit:

I painted them up pretty quick (by my standards), but I'm happy with the results.

Comments are welcome!
