yeah, not always the cheapest.. they are classic hefty dwarfs, so a bit more metal then the normal 28mm mini. Don't know if the KS is a loss leader.. possible but bad way of doing business. When you think, Macrocosm's prices for the moulds and spinning is £100 for the silicon mould to be made, which can be 6-12 figures, with £3 a spin + metal weight.. trying to think of the weight cause, like I said, hefty dwarfs... fairly heavy.. personally? £6 each is a bit too much even for that size but it's not as bad as GW overprice (why the hell does a company which sells MUCH more bulk, and so can spread the cost better, overcharge so much? ¬_¬).
if he plans to sell 100 sets of 6, which he only has 6 on the mould, then that is already £10 per set + £3 spin +.. what... pewter is something like £60 a kg, maybe 5grams a figure? I'm not great at estimating weight.. so say 30 grams of pewter, that's £18 on top of that, so that's already £41. Add a bit of sculpting, and a bit of profit.. .. well, seams like a good price.. though I would say my weight is out.. it's an understandable price though probably a bit high for my taste. when I briefly worked in IT retail, it was something like 10% on top of cost.. If I remember right.. it wasn't for long and it was some time back and that part wasn't my field ^_^ I was more just doing some selling, diagnoses and repair. Small scale of course.
