Chaos Renegades

Having a bit of a think about the colour for the gun....
I guess perhaps trying to use some of the colours from the pipes to provide some extra contrast on those ribbed sections and nodules.
The red reed grass should look good. I like using red and more wet terrain coloured grasses on my bases.

A bit of a refresher - one minion (knightmare miniatures)
A little bit more to do on the base, but not much...

I have some Knightmare miniatures on my want list for quite some time, they are really excellent. Your paint job really does the sculpt justice. Unfortunately, they are a bit expensive when you want to build a couple units of chaos followers...

nice. Back before Chaos Dreadnaughts were just... normal ones with a bit of spike.. and the finishing touches really make it ^_^

A knightmare miniatures familiar. Photo is really dark, he's a little brighter in hand...

Awesome, now that's one model I've always wanted to have in the collection. Love the colour on the backpack with the little orange/red details.

Some WIP.

Hopefully only the base and some little details to do. And by little details, I mean little nurglings....

Now that is cool. The muted rainbow colours are awesome, bright, but not too bright. Love it.
I assume the sculpt is based on the Tony Ackland (correct me if wrong) sketch of a Great Unclean One. Your own work or a commission, or does someone sell them... ?

Black spray undercoat, followed by white spray on top.
Super thinned down yellow over everything
Thinned down paint applied like a wash
Thinned down paint (but slightly less thinned down) over the top again to strengthen colour.
Thinned down paint applied in reseses
Highlight using an off white/yellow throughout stages added to the thinned down paint

So I guess it's wet blending...

I have also used some inks which were near the painting table, but mainly cos they were there rather than a plan.
