C34 Elementals

I’d been looking for a way to make my brettonia army a bit more “fantasy”, and stumbled on the idea of maybe summoning in something more exotic. Elementals (and angels?) seem to hit the spot and there’s a super oldhammer range to plunder (requires patience with eBay). The range appeared at the end of 1984, sculpted by nick bibby and Alan Perry I think. So far I have Life and Death, Fire and Water. Slowly hunting down Rock and Air and the awesome flying angels.

Anyway, they’re great models so I thought I’d share my progress on here.

First up Life and Death.
Immediate setback here as I’ve now discovered they never made any WFB rules for these and they were adopted to WFRP instead, and rebranded as Greater Daemons of Law and Khorne respectively. Anyway, no matter- loved painting them. Life is looking summery and vibrant and death is, well, what you’d expect I guess. Added one with a human size model for scale. They’re supposed to be about 10
Foot.

I’ll add more as I get to them (which maybe quite a while given my normally glacial pace of output). Thanks for looking.

If you can't find them, there are some nice proxy elementals from some companies... I've kinda wanted some of them as a minor thing cause... the Heroquest Spell card backs were based on them ^_^;
 
Fab painting 👍

Heads up that there were rules for the pre-slotta elementals in WFB2's Battle Bestiary, but I don't recall ever seeing anything for life & death. However, the rules for elementals were formulaic so it should be easy enough to knock something up for them.

Cheers I’ll have a look. I read somewhere that they produced the figures and then decided (not incorrectly) the life and death are not actually elements.

As you say, rules are there to be made up so maybe we’ll get creative 😃

rules were in the third citadel compendium, along with those for a plague elemental.

Page 10 & 11 of the third Citadel Compendium, in the 'Bellicose Bestiary' , has stats both Life and Death (and Plague Elementals) for WHFB 2e. :) See above ^^ @twisted moon
