I’d been looking for a way to make my brettonia army a bit more “fantasy”, and stumbled on the idea of maybe summoning in something more exotic. Elementals (and angels?) seem to hit the spot and there’s a super oldhammer range to plunder (requires patience with eBay). The range appeared at the end of 1984, sculpted by nick bibby and Alan Perry I think. So far I have Life and Death, Fire and Water. Slowly hunting down Rock and Air and the awesome flying angels.
Anyway, they’re great models so I thought I’d share my progress on here.
First up Life and Death.
Immediate setback here as I’ve now discovered they never made any WFB rules for these and they were adopted to WFRP instead, and rebranded as Greater Daemons of Law and Khorne respectively. Graeme Davis covers their history here- https://graemedavis.wordpress.com/2020/04/25/mardagg-a-forgotten-wfrp-monster/
Anyway, no matter- loved painting them. Life is looking summery and vibrant and death is, well, what you’d expect I guess. Added one with a human size model for scale. They’re supposed to be about 10
Foot.
I’ll add more as I get to them (which maybe quite a while given my normally glacial pace of output). Thanks for looking.
