The Tau were pretty mean when I faced them a while back. Will have to see exactly how much Legio Cusodes and his mates are bringing. Don't know how big Curtis' Ork army is either yet?

We can always come up with a scenario that favours the Orks if they are numerically weaker but don't forget I aim to bring along a Mega Gargant for you as well.

Well LC has a Imperator Titan, 4 Warlords, Reaver and 2 Doggies and 2 Marine Armies. So Aye the Orksies are alittle bit screwed atm lol

Looking at Curtis army he put up I'd say he'd be around 2k/3k at a push, so that makes it including 2 Mega Gargants around 8/9k Orks total. Not too bad but still rather outpointed. Not that it matters too much, so long as we have a laugh and I kill some 'Umies!

Might have to reverse the original scenario so that the Orks are attacking the rear areas of an invading Imperial army with the intent of putting the Titan repair yards out of action.

I reckon a few rolls on a state of repair chart before the game to see how operational the Titans are could even it up a bit.
As could an advantageous deployment for the Orks - perhaps between the Titans and the Space Marines or at least encircling them. My artillery companies and abhumans could set up near the Titan repair yard. A race to save/destroy the Titans could be a good laugh!

The Tau would of course have entirely different motives - concerned only that the balance of power should rest with them...

Heaven forbid if any of those Marine armies should turn traitor!

What does everyone else think?

Makes sense, as I'm using 3 main Clans (Blood Axe, Evil Sun, Kult of Speed) which are all fast so a surprise push is rather fluffy And quite Blood Axe lol


Edit: Counted up my points including the MG I'm bring 6k of Orks, more then I thought

Yep - it'll be the ultimate raid for spare sparts in Blood Axe terms!

I'm bringing:

Imperial Guard - 5700 points
Space Marines - 4200 points
Titans - 1900 points

Most of that (the Space Marines) won't end up on the table I'm sure. I don't mind sticking my Titans on as stationary objectives for the Orks to shoot up - although it will probably just be the Warlord as I might not get the 4 Warhounds I just traded repainted in time.

Quite tempted to paint up my 1300 points worth of Squats up as well but I'm just getting carried away now!

Flexible on day... But I would like to try the rogue trader/confrontation game on Sat.

1 Whirlwind Det
3 x Characters

6 x Titans (WIP)

I will update with my mates details as soon as I have them.

I'll tot up my Imperial Guard army when I get home next week. My Titans can form the main objective for the Orks - a Field repair station for damaged Titans. I have some background that I'll write up as a scenario nearer the time.

Can't remember how many points worth of Tau Ollie has but they were pretty mean! He could play a bit of a wild card role - striving for the greater good by hunting down some secret objective that is secret to Ork and Imperial players.

Curtis - did you get round to working out how many points worth of Orks you had?

I've also got a Snakebite clan, 2 Boarboyz detachments (pretty much the same as Ork bikers on Netepic), a Bonecruncher detachment and a Squig Catapult detachment painted up to lend you for the game, Chico. Haven't got round to photographing them to surprise you with

I still also intend painting up another Mega Gargant to lend you.

I'm frantically trying to knock up some more marines....my girlfriend (inquisitor Athena from my blog) wants to play so I am bulking out my Flesh Tearers; not sure if I'll get them done in time though).

My mates in the navy so I'm still waiting to hear back from him exact figures!
