I can't do the quote thingies so here are my answers. Please note I am not the game author so just going on my understanding! Going with the old school emphasis on making a ruling and hoping it works!
Okay so say we're playing and both have five models. I get the initiative at the start of the game. I then activate (lets assume we all pass our rolls) each of my five models in turn, then you activate your five models. Then you activate your five models again, then I activate my five models? So other than the first round essentially everyone actually has two activations back to back unless someone becomes unruly and interrupts the flow?
Round 1: Eric, then Jelly
Round 2: Jelly then Eric
Round 3: Eric then Jelly
Round 4: Jelly then Eric
Yep, it would run exactly like that if we had the same amount of models, no one got killed, became unruly etc.
So if I say have the initiative then I can activate each my models in turn unless one becomes unruly or I run out of models in which case play passes over to my opponent who can then activate their models, presumably until one of those becomes unruly or they run out of models and play passes back to me to finish off the rest of my models (if I have any left)?
Yep exactly
Does this last just for the target's next activation attempts or for the rest of the game? It says rolls, plural, but of course each round you're doing two activations rolls for each model anyway so I wasn't clear on duration.
I would say it lasts for the next activation rolls and then is cleared.
Does this mean that if the model (with Shadowy) is in cover (ie in concealment) then they can't be targeted at all? ie I might normally be able to see 50% of your model behind the hedge, but you have Shadowy so in essence I can't see you at all?
That is how I read it, bit of odd wording I think.
Does that mean a model that gets two actions, but charges with the first only gets to perform the one action?
Yep
I can't see any other mention of being pushed being relevant to the game so why the marker? My assumption is that in order to perform a Melee attack you have to Charge and to charge maybe you can only charge models you are not in contact with or that are perhaps pushed away? Not that the charge rule states explicitly states that you have to move "move up to" might imply you can move 0".
I think it is to ensure that no model "ends" being in base to base contact with another so yes, you would need to Charge again. (The author mentions taking inspiration from MESBG so I am going to take it from there!)
If you don't agree on these we can always work them out, or have a duel of throwing heavy lead models at each other?
