Theoretically I have the whole weekend off - I'll have to see whether the holder of purse strings will sanction another hotel stay..
Be good to see you down there Tony and good news that Steve can do both weekends

Come on Harry - you know you couldn't stand missing out - think of the kebabs ;)

I am sure the a Foundry won't mind if we get a lamb shish or ten delivered mid game. Will there be a bar and all there in Nov?

After the lamb curry and Chilli they laid on last time I wouldn't be surprised!

A bar would certainly be a good reason for a hotel room

Who is going to the foundry for this event? Its early in November (9th?) And what is going on as far as Oldhammer is going on? Last I heard Warlord Pail was GMing a game involving chaos, the undead and loads of nasty monsters?

Rather a lot on in early November, but am willing to attend, if others are coming out to play .

What do you want me to bring?

Re: blog con at the foundry

I'm aiming to be there. If we can work out what's needed soon I could have a bash at getting a load of stuff painted.

I think the general idea was for a nice big one day battle, guided by a GM. I am hoping to bring my fairly large Khorne army, my smaller undead force, spined dragon and odds and ends. Really, we should just do a bit of old school 'stick it all on the table and just crack on' style stuff, but i was hoping for more narrative this time.

Oh, dragons! That'll be nice. But isn't Warlord Paul leading this dance?

So, what do you want us to bring?

I have the Zombie Dragon on my painting table, along with a load of plastic skellies.

The original discussion is here .

I think suggesting a big game between Chaos and Undead/Orcs was where we were up to so far.

That's what I had in mind alright. I am basing the narrative around Mum-Ho-Thep and his Floating Ziggurat of Doom (both of which will be making an appearance) but the armies will be made up of whatever you guys bring on the day. It will be 'vaguely Undead dominant evil guys' versus 'vaguely Chaos dominant evil guys'. The idea is Mum-Ho-Thep floats around in his Ziggurat with his Undead and a few superstitious Orc tribes etc. that worship him when a Chaos force rocks up expecting to seize artifacts/steal ziggurat/free trapped daemonic patron etc.

I will publish the narrative very soon, as soon as all the other chores are done!

P.S. What's wrong with this thread Orlygg... http://forum.oldhammer.org.uk./viewtopic.php?f=24&t=925&sid=db1e31ea8462c5075f7a184c5cab5ce7

Stop making a mess!

P.P.S. I am now staying in Nottingham overnight, I won't be up for much GMing on the Sunday but I am out on the razzle-dazzle on Saturday night if anyone fancies a pint?

Whoops! I had forgot about that thread. We can merge them!

Still, it great to hear that we have a few esteemed oldhammerers going. And the narrative sounds very interesting and old schooly. Right, better get the nightmare legion finished ASAP!

Don't really have any undead and I really don't think my Chaos types are going to be ready in sufficient numbers to warrant their boot space :( so all I can offer are the orcs and their supporters  that didn't get out of the box at BOYL, will that be OK? Oh, and a few specials/monsters :!:

Sorry Paul, but having met you and after reading your blog and posts - I don't really see you as the 'razzle-dazzle' type; so, hope you don't mind if I tag along, purely for educational purposes you understand.(Dancing?) ;)

Prepare to be amazed. I can throw shapes like no other. Will look forward to having a jar or two with you Paul.

P.S. Your Orcs or whatever you want to bring will be most welcome, please don't feel constrained by the narrative fluff.

The wife has decided that it perhaps best that I go to Notts by myself as she would rather rest at home with her sister than travel with the kids.

So that's me staying in Notts overnight then!

Is there space for me in the Warlord Paul/Golgfag 'razzledazzle-a-thon'?

Hey, I'm only there for educational purposes, the alcohol will only be drunk to put the wildlife at their ease!

Having walked back to my hotel on Saturday night of BOYL, I can certainly say that quite a lot of the wildlife - left little to the imagination :o :o :o , so seeing it in its home environment will only make me more determined to stay sober, so that I don't miss anything   .

Don't worry I won't bring a camera or notebook  - Throw Shapes? God, I feel old.

See you there
