Ben's Project

Some lovely stuff there.
Love the colours which would be very easy to get wrong but you have done sterling job of not making them garish.
Very bright but not comical.
Kudos.

But, why does that halfpint have a bell round his neck?

Bit of a change from goblins and halflings.
Citadel 1985 C02 wizard "Puppet Lord"
I haven't seen this miniature pop up anywhere before, it seems to only have featured on one flyer. The detail is insane and it really tested my eyes and shaky hands.
I had to give him this chaos familiar "Manaquin"

Never seen that mini before! Lovely paint job.

I hit a bit of a wall, I think it was after painting a knight that I wasn't happy with and then helping my eldest paint his 40k tanks. The tanks reminded me of a box of guardsmen on one of my shelves that are in a very poor state, luckily they do very well in Biostrip 20 and I was able to paint up a test subject the other night. I'm now tempted to paint at least one squad (especially as I have a metal sargeant model). I have enough for a complete Platoon, if I purchase an orderly and an officer, but realistically I think a squad is definitely a realistic prospect. All foundry paints, bottle green and stone triads mainly.

Lovely paint job, I think the colours look great and much better than the funny tiger stipes I remember from white dwarf when these came out. You know you want to do a full squad with regimental markings and the correct weapons :).

I do like that colour scheme. Lovely paint job. I need to choose some schemes for my own guard at some point, I might just be taking a lot of inspiration from yours now! :)
