They are US helmets. But I get your point^You know, there's a certain sense to that. Stick some "Fritz" helmets on them and call it a day? In context they look quite nice.

Ok, let me confuse you more. I put the helmets back in the front and sculpted the back side, which is the front of the Tamiya helmets.It is or was a popular nickname in military circles for contemporary US military helmets. I kind of figured they were US. (I spent a long time staring, but the little lip in the back gives it away.) But that style looks quite like a German helmet, thus the nickname.
