Axiom's Miscellaneous RT Figures Thread

I just went on the web to know what the word for "Gaiter" was in english (french is guêtre) and understood why a Klegg had to wear some... it gives him a mobster look on top of the rest which is just charming.

Gaiter > gator (alligator)?

You know the children's farewell saying?

Child 1: "See you later alligator"
Child 2: "In a while, crocodile!"

I digress ;)

I knew that one :D

What happened to that gator head then?
he looks grand, I love the yellow integral suit with white straps. it gives hime a lovely outdated look that fits the gun design very well. The chief mobster looks even more scary now with such people in his retinue.

Painted up a companion for my Sensei last night - the classic Beast Trooper Gaxt (one of my favourite ever models):

Both are in a more subdued version of the Brat colour scheme, meaning they can be used alongside them without looking out of place :)

Th eclear skin make a very good contrast with the dark gear and horns. You managed to give a really good "readibility" to the model with a limited palette and it works very well. It look sjust right next to Ekros and it's true they both could play as mercenaries / sellswords for the bratts without looking out of place.

He needed the pale skin I think. I originally started with a dark brown and it was all getting lost as unlike Ekros and his hair, there wasn't anything to frame the face. Glad you like him :)

Sure thing, on top of that, the skintones is not far from a normal human skintone and therefore emphasises the "human" in "abhuman" as opposed to a more chaotic beastman.

Wow, well done, this one looks great. I may (ahem) be inspired (ahem) by you whenever I get to paint my beastmen! ;) I'm having a look at the whole thread and everything is charming :)

It's been a little while since I did anything with my Guilder gang for Confrontation, but I've managed to paint up another henchman - I think he's a little bit more concerned with his appearance than Grigor Klegane (yellow boiler suit)!

The trousers are fantastic!
Can't help myself...

The trousers are pants!

Oh dear...time for a rest perhaps? I'd take 6 months off any model-related activities if I were you - looks like you need it ;)

I excerted myself painting a cloak olive green the other day, so yes... a few months off would be most welcome.

Thanks guys!

Last night's efforts - yet another addition to my Guilder gang - an autogun-toting henchmen from the same 1988 Space Pirates range as the chap with striped trousers.

Yet another figure scoring high on character and not so well on anatomy or execution of the sculpt. You've got to like his backwards-worn cap though!

I starting to believe those pirates with their moustaches, weird outfits and bent backs were meant as space grand-dads or something...

He is super cool though with the cap backwards and his floating armoured shirt, he just needs a bionic peg leg.
