Any interest in 'how to do oldhammer'?

I'm thinking 20 Fantasy Regiments orcs or something ... I got mine cheap and they were at least cheap back in the day. Something about monopose says cheap as well :) So if I can scrounge a cheap champion I'd be sorted. Saturday morning you've got booked then?

well, maybe if @Eric brings his castle.
Do you really want my castle? I mean I can look at the logistics if you really do want it ... I guess I can do some lugging - or shipping or something! :)

1) i'm not really going to police this.
2) if you got them cheap since 2012, that's within the letter of the original rules.
3) everything was cheap at the time, so that doesn't count.

if you are willing to bring it, i will incorporate it into the rules, and it may help balance the fantasy and sci-fi elements, but (as below) i don't think a siege is viable.

Are we still planning to play it as a feudal world siege?

no, i don't think warhammer siege fits a three hour slot all that well.

20 mini units? Any limits on the model loadout for free for all?

twenty rank and file plus a level 10 character, how you split those is up to you. @whiskey priest's original suggestion (if I recall correctly) was for two units of ten.
see 1) above, as i will trust people's ability to engage in the spirit of the game combined with peer pressure not to be a knob

What rule set do you have in mind?

whilst i await @lenihan's input, i am considering a wfb2 / rogue trader mash-up.

A lot of some 90 miniatures for £49.49 June 2023, bargain in my books! How much was the Fantasy Regiments box back in the day?

Castle base is 25"x19", I'll send over some better pics and you can ponder, whilst I ponder what I could bring it in, or if I kindly ask someone nearby-ish to take it for me ...

any idea how it would fit on a bravo table?
Very much doubt it would, those are they have too many bumps on them! There are some good shots of those boards from the first BOYL at the old venue: https://realmofchaos80s.blogspot.com/2013/09/bring-out-your-lead-first-oldhammer.html Still that makes my life easier :)

- So at £10 for the 60 back then that puts them at 16.67p each, inflation would put that box at £26.64 in 2023 so 44.4p each and mine were 55p each, so not too crazy far off "original" (adjusted) pricing.

I was planning on bringing two units of 10 dwarfs (10 spears and 10 crossbows) plus a character. Most are original 80's and 90's, but the few recent additions have all been cheap, and not all citadel/marauder. Especially if my Black Tree command group arrives in time, else the crossbow standard will have to be an old school one. I'll also try to get some two handed weapon dwarves painted up, a lot of which are recent cheap purchases.

Happy to stand down if originals aren't acceptable (I missed that bit in the original email), but there seems an irony in shelling out to buy new 'cheap' models.
