Any interest in 'how to do oldhammer'?

^I honestly don't mind some 3D sculpts. I think robots and vehicles, for instance, play to the strengths of digital pretty well. But honestly, there's even some very nice characters out there now in the digital world. I might prefer hand sculpted stuff, but I'm not allergic to digital. :)

Indeed! Forgot to credit the gas mask wearing model to Knucklebones, he designs very characterful idiosyncratic models digitally and is very much part of the indy wargaming/Oldhammer scene.

yep, what will you bring?
Either bloodletters (I don't remember if they've got any annoying immunities) or failing that, norse/barbarians!

EDIT: Looks like ALL daemons do have those pesky rules that would probably make them unfair in a game like this. I'll bring fantasy barbarians (that could easily pass as feral world natives!) which are all currently made by Foundry and half of which I got with a voucher from a previous painting competition :)

no, but I shall be adopting the far Corfe mechanism of simultaneous actions, with any conflicts resolved in initiative order, unless @lenihan gets back to me with alternative suggestions.
i'm also anticipating some drop outs before, or on, the day.
Should be absolutely epic! Expecting a Joe Dever-esque Warhammer mega scenario! Looking forward to seeing the photos and reading the batrep(s) :)

no pressure then.
Be a cinch! Was reading his Thistlewood scenario the otherday. Devers imagination at play ♥️... i.e. the +1 to hit sword (wrapped in a chamois) hidden down a well on the battlefield...It was like an immersive dnd scenario, but with hundreds of troops in play, each one a potential rpg character or npc. Guess that was the nature of WHFB first edition, the tabletop battle was second fiddle to the story, monster and character interaction.

I have 8 Chaos Dwarves painted and based, 1 Champion painted and based, 4 dungeon "swarms" painted and then 8 Dark Elves now fixed up, weapons repairs etc. ready for painting. Getting there!
