Allies for my gobbos..Chaos Ratmen! And other bits

I'm slowly creating a goblinoid army, it's making me really happy.
I suddenly remembered I once had a plan to create the armies from the Lichemaster scenarios and a bloody good Skaven ally contingent is already close to completion, the paint jobs are old but a bit of work and some uniform basing will do them good.
Thrott the Unclean shall join my gobbos.

I'm never too sure about basing teams of two on one base.. I mean, sure they function as a team but one of the two can be taken out on it's own. for jezail and warpfire throwers, so if they are all double based, that would be a problem.

I get that. I'm planning on modeling a pipe between the barrels and the fire thrower so I will double base them

Yes definitely need a pipe . I used plastic for mine

I know I borrowed this idea from someone else but a little bit of bronze/brass guitar string has a quite good texture for an industrial looking bit of piping.

I rather like having the minis connected like this, looks really good and done very neatly. I wonder if Citadel ever contemplated trying to ship the sculpt with a pipe?

If I'm being super critical maybe something (paint/varnish?) to matte the wire down a little more might help it blend in more as part of the sculpt? Although I expect most of that is that I'm looking at a super closeup photo because in the thumbnail it looks totally spot on!
