Aggro84's Citadel Minis

A bit of a double post here but I recently created a couple tutorials linked below.

Part1, a basic step by step tutorial.

Part2, a weathering powder tutorial.

enjoy!

I am amazed at the results you get from cheap craft paint. Can't say I would do it myself as I am fond of my Valejo', Foundry, P3 mish mash of paints.

The thug looks excellent. I am going to get stuck into your pigment post and have a go myself this weekend. Wish me luck.

Good luck Rob S!
Just start slow and wait till the pigments dry before you add more.
And be sure to share your results.

Very nice work Aggro, and nice experimentation too...I've never used pigment/weathering effects etc before-another seed is planted I guess

Just a quick note to address the fixer issue I use.

I have only ever used Krylon Matte Finish 1311 spray.

http://www.krylon.com/products/matte-finish/

It went over the pigments fine and did not distort them at all.
It has never given me a problem and I have used it on hundreds of miniatures over the last few years, except once.
I used a really old can, with only a little bit left in the bottom of it. I probably should have shook it up more as well.
It left some white spots on the minis that weren't terribly noticeable that eventually went away.
I highly recommend it.
