A Grim World...

@Flippa: Haha, there are similarities!

Bofur

Bofur is Bifur's younger brother. Bofur didn't show the same talent for working with gunpowder as his older brother. For this reason Bifur became the more prominent of the two, and everything evolved around him. Bofur - a good dwarf never said anything and just tried to work harder. Until one night. Bifur was stinking drunk. Fed up by his brother, Bifur started to hurl curses after him and telling lies to the inhabitants of the inn. Bifur attempted to attack Bofur, but was grappled by his friends. The following day Bifur swore the slayer oath filled with shame of what he had attempted to do against his brother. Bofur had been nothing but a good brother to Bifur. The day after Bifur left Middenheim. Years went by with no words about Bifur. Then recently he returned with tales of pirates, monsters and far away lands. Bifur had travelled to Marienburg and received work on a boat. Bifur had a natural talent for being on a boat, and it showed fast. In the end he went back to Middenheim with the loot he had acquired. A gromril axe for him self, a pair of dwarven pistols and an fine Arqeubus as a gift to his brother. Naturally he chose to join Thrain's quest to regain Karak Ungor.

@symphonicpoet: Thanks, I think I should be better to do some aggressive highlights and glazing. I will soon run out of dwarves and be turning my attention back to the NPC's of the Enemy Within Campaign. :)

Dori

There is a large population of dwarves in middenheim. This, of course have led to various disagreements and conflicts over the years. There for at a point the humans and dwarves agreed that it would be best if the dwarves had their own judge so they could be judged by their own kinsmen. They still follow the imperial legal system, but no human feel comfortable judging a dwarf. Dori is the current dwarven judge. For this reason he enjoys a good social status, but is also evolved in almost all complications that happen in the community. His advise is much sought. In reality Dori is growing tired of bureaucratic and the constant nagging. His apprentice is soon to take over the mantle, and there for Dori is planning to join Thrain's expedition, where he won't be giving judgement on his kinfolk but unto the god-forgiven race of greenskins.

Next we have...

Durin

16601257492_d4a450fa19_c.jpg

Durin is one of the few dwarven knights in Middenheim. He is pledged eternal loyal to Thrain and function as his knight protector. He is also known as Thrain's red hand due to his elaborate helmet. Durin spents most of his time in Thrain's present, therefor, naturally, they have become rather good friends. When Thrain is not doing business, Durin often accompanies him with beer. In the little spare time Durin has he often reads and study heraldry - he feel it is his unsworn duty to always be able to tell his lord who the important humans are. And besides he likes to look at the beautiful heraldry signs. When Thrain spoke of going to Karak Ungor with Durin at first he was worried. Now he finds himself dreaming of when they will finally leave the city and see the great tunnels of their forefathers.

Thanks symphonicpoet!

It dawned on me that these pictures doesn't do the model justice, and when the sun starts to shine when I'm at home I will get some new improved pictures for you folks. :)

Fili

Fili whom is Kili's younger brother have the same natural talent for stealth and violence. Not wanting to see both their sons in a life of shame, the parents swore Fili to the Dwarven Tunnelfighters. So at the age of 20 he was inducted and trained to protecting the city's underground. His natural display of stealth startled some of the dwarves on mission, and at times Kili just disappeared. Dwalin, the captain, thought this through and decided to trust in Fili - promoting him to scout and gifting a warhorn to him. The warhorn when blown could be heard from a long distance, and hence Fili could blow it if he found intruders or if he was in need of help. The sound of the warhorn have spelled the doom of both mutant and cultist who thought the tunnels safe for illicit actions. Dwalin now knowing how important a scout is, have recruited Fili for Thrain's Expedition to Karak Ungor.

Thanks Warburton. :)
Still waiting for a day of sunshine to take some better pictures.

Nori
16601257262_0baf4db43a_c.jpg

Nori is a single minded person who have vowed his life to rune smiting. Rune Smiths are rare, specially in the Empire. Therefor it is only Nori's father and Nori who in Middenheim know the secret working methods of producing magical runes. Nori is quite proud of this, and can therefor come of rather arrogant. In fact he is a very humble and loyal character to those who know him. Still to Nori, his work (and passion) comes first. He have created Thrain's shield and the rune of iron that it bear. Therefor Thrain asked Nori to join him in his expedition to Karak Ungor, where Nori's skills surely will be useful. Nori whom have learned all his father could teach him, joined not for the sake of Thrain but to find forgotten runes and how to create them. Nori still has no child, but knows he has to give on his work to his offspring in the future.

You have great taste in miniatures. I also like your photography style... the background really adds to the roleplaying feel.

In my mind, there is little difference between good Warhammer and good Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay. One's a hippopotamus on land, and the other is a hippopotamus in the water. In both cases, the write-ups that you're doing for your miniatures are dead brilliant. It's like giving them a good paint job in words rather than acrylics. Looking forward to more!

Hello...

I'm not dead. Talking about death; we have started playing Mordheim (with houserules), so I have naturally started painting (again).
Not much to show at current time, so you just get to messy shots.
