3rd edition Dark Elves army list

Was making my first 3rd edition dark elf army today and was a little confused about something.
In Warhammer Armies p32, it says that characters may ride in chariots included as part of the army's rank and file points allowance. Now the problem is, there are no chariots in the Dark Elf army list.

Just wondering if anyone knows if this was fixed some time after the book was published, or if it's left to my already overpowered imagination.

(afterall, I have 4 chariots :twisted: )

There could have been updates in a White Dwarf but in the end it is all left to your imagination, more importantly - your opponent, who also has to enjoy playing with/against you, and maybe the rules for point values you find in the main rulebook. Just use common sense (and nice looking models).
 
Or, and here me out, just get rid of those chariots since you can't use them ever again. And I'd be happy to take them from you ;)
 
You may have noticed exactly the same text is in the Wood and High Elf lists, most likely it's a typo (i.e. mistakenly added to the Dark Elf list as well). Or maybe they'd originally intended to produce DE chariots.

Since DEs are basically even more stroppy HEs it seems fair enough to me to include chariots in your army. But as Niibl says, see what your opponent thinks.

Well, I'll just use the same rules and points as the high elf chariot, I'm also using spears despite what the army list says, don't feel like neutering my 40 spearmen :?
My opponents are very openminded, we have alot of house rules, that and most of the time I'm the one supplying miniatures terrain and story, I am the unofficial gamemaster.
sometimes it pays off to be a dictator :twisted: .
