2027 52 Miniature Painting Challange

So back in 2020 on Facebook I launched a painting challenge.

The challenge is 52 miniatures in of 2027. An average of one a week. Now what is a miniature? It’s a model on a base. So it could be a gnome or it could be a dragon with a rider that’s one miniature.

What do you get if you complete the challenge? Well a badge and a mini. A side challange is design a prize mini.

At the end of the year you need a photo with all 52 minis together on a single photo. You must photo them all together to get the prize

Err… painted over 140 minis so far and quite a number more due to finish. 😉🤘

I very much like this idea. In principle 52 should be achievable. I mean, a couple of units and you're pretty much there, right? In practice in 2026, with less than two months left of the year to go, I've painted 19 models. Which at least is an improvement on 2025 when I think I only finished 12. So this is the kind of challenge that would help me to get me closer where I'd like to be with my painting, in terms of quantity at least! Of course, with work, family, mood, gaming opportunities etc. there's no accounting for what will actually happen. Challenges help me, though!
