Being new to the theme poll/project/thingy...

What is the spot colour thing?

Basically just people making suggestions of colour(s) they'd like to see used on this year's entry. Point is to have something to tie them all together a bit.

Oooh well what about leaving them with plain bases?
That way the winner can base them to match with their own stuff and in the same style?

That would be better than them all being green and red in colour but with a mis-match of base styles/shapes and sizes?

No, not literal spots. Though nothing's stopping you from painting spots on your entry if you want! In 2023, Lustria Cut-throats -theme striped pants was all the rage! This is supposed to be rather lax and just something for forum members to participate in good spirits.
Yeah, and after suggestions there's naturally a poll of which colour(s) are used so that not each and every colour suggested are used.

Yup, bases have been left as is just so that whoever ends up with them minis can base them to suit their army.

Miniature (or miniatures, one of my ideas would be a duo) entered don't have to be oldhammer either. Like I said, this whole thingy is meant to be rather lax and just a fun way for members of the forum to participate in a community project.

Besides entries not having to be oldhammer they don't actually need to be GW at all.
Here's a pic twisted moon took of the 2023 Lustrian Cut-throats he ended up getting. All sorts of minis there and all look good.

Me jokingly hurrying things up seems to have got others impatient too.
I'm sure symphonicpoet will set up threads for spot colour suggestions and for poll eventually and there'll be rest of the year to complete minis we want to participate with.

Hey, I need prompting from time to time. Got distracted by RL. (Though I did squeeze some gaming in there yesterday. Which was nice.) Will set up spot color threads shortly.

^Yep. You got me! I'm a right angle away from GMT. And almost a half circle from my wife's family in Vietnam. (Which means for much of the year I just have to flip the A to a P to get the time correct.) Look me up if you're in my hemisphere. I have gaming space and spare bedrooms.
