I'd guess those would stay as a rumour. I'm speculating, but I don't think there is much point with GW targeting the "experienced painter". Given how many paint brands are easily available I think anyone with more experience will probably already be mixing and matching between brands as it is and especially if they want droppers. I can't imagine there is much money to be made by GW given that paints are a fairly interchangeable part of the hobby. As I understand it they make their own paints themselves now in Nottingham (since 2022) so any additional bottling would probably require a new line in the factory which would presumably have reasonable startup costs associated with it and increase the stock sitting on shelves, etc. I doubt they'd outsource.

Thinking of more expert paints do they still do the ForgeWorld airbrush paints I wonder? Or am I totally imagining those ever existed?

I am amazed at the number of hobby paint manufacturers that keep springing up, it is clearly a lucrative sector (take a second to consider quantities made to price mark up on the shelf). I can easily see the GW management wanting to carve an even bigger slice of that market by producing a “premium” product. A higher price point would help cover the costs of the line and mark the move to different bottles. There will be cost analysis reports about this kinda stuff going on all the time… 🧐
 
True, it is amazing how many paints there are and indeed the prices per ml ! I suppose I was also thinking of GW not wanting to imply their "standard range" was, well, perhaps sub-standard. However it's not like they don't have a range of (or did have) paint brushes where they offered a premium range alongside the standard ones. So there is precedent. I expect somehow the price per ml in a dropper bottle will be more!

I probly bought $160.+ worth of Reaper paint, it was fine. (All except for the the flesh tones, for some reason those just made my life hell). then again, my Craft store paints were also fine, and i use them all the time. 5 times the paint for 1/5th the cost.
If i need a fancy paint or a special color, for me it's only Vallejo. their flesh tones turned faces from something i dreaded to something i don't mind too much.
The only pots i use from gW is their washes, and after repeated spills i bored a wood clock to hold 2 at at time . thanks to s sticking, glued on lid, i still managed to get it all over my table, clothes and face when that lid finally broke loose and the whole thing flipped out of my fingers.
