shame. I know it's an Anthology Novel instead of just a novel, but didn't Deathwing come out first? though the same year. I know the guy did some rubbish but he was a successful writer who had been doing stuff since the 70s, so it's still worth noting his passing

Can't remember the publication order, though you could be right. IIRC Watson wrote a space marine book & another trilogy in the setting before novel publication was shelved when Ansell sold the company.

That is a shame. The only GW book series I ever enjoyed, probably because I was 10 when I read it! I guess the prices have just shot up again as people remember they exist...

He was a bit of a legend! Great character, there are plenty of entertaining video interviews with him waxing about his writing of those early 40k novels and short stories.
