Will I manage to finish before end of the month??![]()
Great flesh hounds, but this is a Dwarf related challenge thread!Nice looking models everyone. I’ve never tried bio strip. I use iso alcohol to strip down my squats.
Recently finished these dudes and I’m working on a Blood Slaughterer.
Don't forget the gnomes, halflings or anything else short and hairy (hmm.. that gives me an idea... I may be quicker to slap some emulsion on myself!)Great flesh hounds, but this is a Dwarf related challenge thread!![]()
Looking great!Made some more progress, tonight. I might actually get him done by Saturday.
Experimenting with a colored wash over the metallic base. Not sure I like it or not.

But I started these two on the first of Feb 😭 I need to reclaim time for hobbying. One just needs varnishing and basing, and the other shading, highlights, hair painting, varnish and basing. So hopefully should both be done by the end of Saturday. Probably doesn't help that I go a bit overboard trying to get everything perfect (for me). Currently on 6 different paints and shades for the helmet horns and I'm still not 100% happy. But I'm trying to teach myself the art of 'good enough' so I don't burn out on painting.I have only just primed the one...

This is wiseI suspect if you looked at a model when evaluating it and dropped the enough so you called it good, rather than good enough, you would be happier?
Good enough seems code for not very good?
Just decide if it is good, and then move onto the next?
This is wise
So, I think evey metal has a lot to answer for. It wasn’t until I was 35 I finished a mini and varnished it and said that’s good enoughBut I started these two on the first of Feb 😭 I need to reclaim time for hobbying. Please note that we use the forum's account upgrades mechanism to apply the badges and some of the wording is rather tied to the assumption payments are being made.
Please be assured there are no payments made or funds taken for this despite the generic thank you "for buying" messages after clicking the button!
Your badge will last for about eleven months and expire around the time of the challenge next year. You'll get a notification telling you your "upgrade" has expired, but not helpfully which one!
