Slaves Danse Macabre.

I thought it was time I started an Undead thread so I don't keep polluting my Brettonian one with talk of Halfling neck nibblers and the Collinson sisters.

My plan for this army is simple, have the bad ass army I wanted as a kid and never got (what little undead I had got ripped apart for Plague Marine conversions), force will be intended for 3rd/4th ed games, but I may dip me toe into 5th because Vampires are cool.

As my other army is Bretonnians I may have a higher than normal number of bows/crossbows for thematic reasons, do I expect them to achieve much? Nope, but rule of cool matters more than winning.

Currently sorting through my stuff now and arranging my Skellybois into regiments, I'll post what I've got so far later.

Well chuffed, managed to get my favourite Wight mini, he should be here tomorrow hopefully. The three Vampires I just purchased purely for the goofy Nosferatu in the middle, his pose always made younger me laugh.

I know I know... LAMP!!!! I just had to get the funny Vampire. Just look at his cute lil face and comically long arms. 😍

Award for longest arms still goes to Dick Jones in Robo Cop.

Think this guy will be a good proxy for Nagash or would he be too big?

Considering the army, shouldn't that be DEAD chuffed?

Well the Chaz Elliott Wraith towers above everything else and the scale between the others is pretty wild. Usually this would annoy the hell outta me but as they are dead people and life expectancy is low for the poor Bretonnians Im headcannoning the smaller ones as teenagers and young adults. I can't see a Necromancer being fussy about what raw materials he works with.

Other than scale issues I'm well chuffed, got most of the Undead minis from Ral Partha now, may as well buy the rest. 😆 Spoke to one of my old gaming buddies from Southport last night, he said there's some undead in his garage I can have, including a boxed black coach (that might actually be mine anyway), it's all mine if I pay postage and enough for a crate of beer and funky tobacco. He's still not parting with his 1st edition Chaos Dreadnought though. 😑😑🤬🤬

Instead of ordering the big reaper I'll use the Chaz Elliott Wraith as a Nagash proxy. He's almost twice the size of a normal skeleton so if the average human (according to Google) is 5ft 8 to 9 inches the Wraith should be roughly 11ft. Nagash is 15 foot so I'll pop the Wraith on a 40mm base and raise him a bit and jobs a goodun.
The money saved from not buying the reaper will go towards a painting lamp next month. 👍

What size base would be suitable for the undead Pegasus? 50mm square or normal cavalry base?
