Imperial Guard Camo Patterns

Here are a few examples of Guard squads painted with the camo/masking fluid method. The patterns are organic (although the picture quality isn't ideal, I find that the subtle details are flattened a bit by the stark light source)

My group plays using the mission from an old League booklet (circa. 1990) and these squads are the perfect accompaniment to the camo Space Marines in Power Armor

For those who grew up in the 80's, the GI Joe element hits hard.

Time to break out those plasma shotguns

A dark undercoat and then randomized patches of masking fluid are applied. Sprayed again with a lighter color, masking fluid again applied randomly (can even be repeated a 3rd time with a lighter color)... rub the masking fluid off and you get these organic, overlapping patterns which can be selectively highlighted by hand painting even lighter colors... a very realistic way to achieve a camo effect

These guys were a bit of an experiment but I think this technique could achieve some amazing results with alot of practice
