Orctober 2025

Yet more lovely green skinned awesome miniatures!
I have no idea what I'm doing with orcs
Your painting begs to differ! They are looking great.
Finally got this cheeky Orc painted up
Looks great loving the very lime green skin.

Well I'm going to scrape in having finished up my bouncing gobs. So nice painting models with just a few bits and pieces of detail. I should probably have done some stripes or something on the pogos having seen lots of that recently on the board and rather liking it, but I suspect these are going to be called done now.

Thought I'd pop them on 20mm bases so they fitted better on the old polystyrene 2nd edition board, but of course photographed them on the larger tile board I made for a Games Day years ago if anyone is wondering about scale.

Just for any last minute frantic green slapping the old badge claim doohickey hangs around for a few days past the end of the month, so don't panic if you've still got your 50th layer of highlights to apply or something!

They look great and very topical given the impending blood bowl release. I do love a goblin team, however terrible they are (and always have been) to play.
And your deliberately small bases did have me thinking scale creep had got worse than I remembered for a minute.
Awesome work.

Thank you.
I'll get the board out over the weekend and do a snap - I can always pop the skaven team on it for a bit of interest.
I always try to do a bit of highlighting on metallics these days with some silver/gold over the darker metals so they don't just rely on reflected light. I should probably be doing all that fancy NMM stuff, but well life is short and metallic paints are a thing!

with over 14 hours of orctober left to go, here's my final contribution.

yes, it's the third carriage, which brings the land train to this stage:

i have an idea to extend it a little further, but we'll see.
either way, the nomadic orks of st. andrews world are now a fully playable force.

although it would be nice to add some (women, children and elderly) non-combatants.

Aaand, as usual, I won't be able to join the green-fest: I'll still have to keep the war-chicken separate by its rider for some time, in order to be able to handle it while modelling the groundwork on the base:roll:
Congratulations to all who submitted8-)8-)
