Low Quality Photo ID time

ManicMan

Lord
well.. got an interesting job lot of some figures and I'm having a problem working out what some of them are.. some of this is kinda confusing for me cause a couple should be pretty easy..

Sorry for the low quality photos..
BeakHelmet.jpg
Very basic sculpt, bad paint of course. Looks like wearing some weird helmet with a beak Nothing on the solid base. Did wonder about mini-figs but there stuff just isn't catalogued well at all.

Dwarf1.jpg
had to boot the colour cause he is pretty.. black I think the tip of the sword is broken. now, this one is one which really bothered me.. Solid base with the word 'Dwarf' written on the top. BUT the underside of the base is interesting:
Dwarf1_Bottom.jpg
Little hard to read in this but it has a 'Games Workshop' stamp, like there really early stuff. Looks to say 19
84 under that but very hard to make out. And as I'm sorting this out, Looks like I didn't get a photo of another solid base dwarf. completely different base type on that other one and some writing I really can't make out.. damn.. anyway

LizardmanShaman.jpg
Very bad image.. solid base, front has 'Lizardman' embossed, back has 'Shaman'.. SO a Lizardman Sharman. should be easy to ID as it also has a 'Games Workshop' stamp under the base but doesn't appear to be any of the Lizardmen I know about or could find. 1984 is also annoy cause that's when they swapped to slotta.. so.. confusing.

Samarai.jpg
Another Games Workshop 1984 Solid base with name 'Samurai' missing sword but I couldn't see him.

SeaElf.jpg
Missing feet.. that really doesn't help.. Looks kinda sea-elf like with the helmet but I might be completely wrong.. in fact, I probebly am..
Warrior.jpg
Generic Foot solider. No tab, no luck

Ohh Thanks ^_^ I was way off thinking Sea elf.. but that's one of the problems.. If you are just off on a complelty wrong path, you aren't gonna just 'find it in the end' that way

Seeing Athgul painted up makes it make more sense.. I thought the face was just poorly lacking in detail, but nope, it's a whole bird head/full helmet thing. I thought the tip of the weapon was broken. This was a pretty good value lot cause it was a bit damage but hey, that just means it's easier to customise if wanted ^_^

And looks like that is a citadel re-issue, which makes sense as it would be one of the ones they got. That's helped narrow down this lot ^_^ with some of the other figures, I'm probebly gonna be passing on some of this lot.. Things like the first citadel Gandalf as a rider figure (Me-11) I just have no interest in. Some I'll be keeping, some I'll be doing something with (Ball and Chain Fanatic but missing the ball? yay! fun time)

oh, the dwarf I forgot to get a photo of is Odan Grimbeard, Dwarf Hero from Bryan Ansell's Heroic Adventures set (Cp2) Missing the Hammer head.

As I'm still trying to ID some of these, Lets use this thread to add some more from another recent purchase. These appear to be 90s models and really annoying types which have NO ID mark of any type. The bases are just flat metal ¬_¬;

I'm calling this 'T-Rex with Wings'.. it's meant to be a Dragon I believe. It's a small boy with only 40mm from base to top of head and the wing placement is... yeah.. if it wasn't for how much it was clearly meant to be like it, I would think it was just a T-rex or similar miniature, which someone snapped a pair of wings on.

A Pair of what I think are Wizards (robes, Pointy hats, Staff) with the staff's having skulls on for some reasons. clearly part of the same range. Not bad sculpting.

IMG_20250909_140001.jpg

Wizard with weird face (looks like a fake beard really) on a simple chair. sculpted to fit it seams.. but the chair is very under detailed. I'm thinking just old man in a pub.

IMG_20250909_135943.jpg
Now.. I think these were described as a princess and attendant. but when you look at them faces.. either they are wearing masks over the eyes, or.. maybe they are pretty old? the faces just look like the cheek and eyebrows etc are really thick compared to the rest of the face, more then I would expect, thus giving the effect of a mask.

A four armed Lizard Man and.. meant to be a unicorn I think but that's just a horse with a horn.. I'm very particular when it comes to Unicorns and this just isn't one.

I would have though a four armed lizard would be easy to ID but... I'm drawing a blank

A 4-armed lizard you say? Must be an Asgard Dragon Lizard then. :) Thought the unicorn might be Asgard too, but it isn't.

The others I dunno, definitely look like masks on those ladies to me.

Ah yes! That's a Nick Bibby D3 - Dragon Lizard with Mace and Sword.

yeah, I know what you mean about the "Unicorn" but it's similar but not the same and not one they seam to have done.

Interesting. Never seen any of these.
The sitting wizard looks like gandalf driving a horsecart. Doesn't look familiar at all.

T-rex might be Harlequin or Heartbreaker? Stylewise.
Or some 90's US brand.

Would you part with the Unicorn 🦄?

I also think those women are masked, or just unfortunately cursed, fell out the ugly tree and hit every branch on the way down, just like I did. 😆

^_^ that's fine, PM me with your address and it'll see about sorting that out and give you my paypal, if that's a fine enough way for money transfer.
