Rogue Trader Eldar

That is one of two great classic dread conversation jobs ^_^ though I can't say how practical it would be to fit into an army (or even what was used for the head).. I'm kinda NOT looking for the other picture I remember cause.. I'm doing something a bit like it and don't want to copy it. So not finding it is better ^_^

Well my freehand definitely isn't up to that sort of thing !

Whilst watching PSG hammer Inter I repositioned the arm. Just like with the leg I cut at the joint and then turned the forearm to give what I think is a more natural firing style with the gun on top not to the side.

Quick mock up.

I think the missing fingers may be my biggest issue as ideally I would like to drill a hole and add some wire to give it strength and also have something to work from but the fingers are so thin I can't so think the will be liable to constantly fall off.

That is a freehand design and the dreadnought canopy/head! Definitely not an army standard base size neither. ;)
you sure that's the normal head? ... probebly just the angle but I've never seen it as being the normal head... though I think.. the ear is on one of the crystals/stones/whatever they change their mind to call them.. highly sanded details away though.. not sure..

So ever since buying this dreadnought I've had one nagging doubt and that was the fact that the body/head part was hollow . Every time I mocked it up I hate looking at the back. So decided to fill it in with greenstuff. Its better but still seems flat so may add something.

Makes it a bit cheaper and easier to cast being hollow. also, I don't think it's really visible as the 'seat' of the neck pretty much hides most of the back anyway. But no problem against filler ^_^
ah, i've had a thought, is it the puppeteer?
nope. but until I get some details I want done (which involves trying to sculpt something I have no clue on how to do and looking online, information seams.. bad) I don't think I want to say case the picture is shown ^_^ best way to not directly ripp-off something is to not have a good idea of what it is.

Alternately, you could do a little conversion work and give it the dreadnought equivalent of jokaero digital weapons. (On a dreadnought that might be a heavy plasma cannon or a conversion beamer.) Anyway, good luck! I found some intact ones on US listings. I'm tempted to buy them myself, but maybe you should try setting the distance filters to unlimited, or even just searching ebay.com directly. (I sometimes go to ebay.co.uk directly for similar reasons. Or even .de and .fr. You just find different stuff that way.)

I'd have though some 0.5mm wire would fit okay looking at my dreads - might be easiest to poke the wire into something else first and sculpt without the other digits getting in the way.
