Zombie Pirates - current state

This thread will contain pictures of all finished zombie pirates starting with those I have already finished.
Those from the WIP thread will join them here once finished.
Most of following miniatures were painted as part of the "Tale Of Fantasy Painters 2008/2009" on Warseer.
I took new fotos but I have to admit that they have become a little bit dusty since then.
I did not take pictures of the 20 dogs I have painted up as they won't be good as ship crews anyway.

Wonderful, I missed my Zombie Pirates (Lost/left in a house move) will have to do them again I think.

Fantastic stuff. Much better than my own cartoon-style painted army of zombie pirates. Little works of art, yours.

I can't say but I'm truly amazed by your prowess. I love how you used some pieces and minis there -and of course, how you painted them!

Absolutely lovely stuff. Where is that converted Von Hurkon miniature sourced from? I recognise it but can't quite place it...
That would be Imperial guard (or Astra Militarum thingee now) Ursarkar Creed

I'm a fan of undead pirates and I enjoyed looking at your superbly converted minis attempting to work out the origins of the many pieces.

I started some zombie pirates made from various GW sprues a few years back but never really completed any at the time so apart from the 'New Build' I did for the Chico Challenge a couple of weeks ago they all sit around waiting to be finished... maybe your thread will inspire me to work on a few more :)

Thanks for the nice replies.
For me the zombie pirates are a means to do lots of conversions and squeeze in all the weird miniatures I have or stumble upon.
On last sunday's Bitbox I bought a Patrick (from SpongeBob) in a He-man outfit and one day he will stand side by side with Snoopy to strike fear (followed by a blade) in the hearts of the living.
But that will have to wait for the day I unbox the paint pots again. Today I only managed to take pictures of the dogs.

These are astonishingly good. I like everything from the inventive combination of models, to the colour scheme, to the painting style to the shingle beach base texture and the clumps of seaweed on the cannons.
