You might use a 2+ for a wash brush, but that's an expensive wash brush! To save you being the fool that follows, I offer myself as the first fool...

From left to right 0,1,2,3 W&N Series 7.

Size 1 would be my choice as a great mini painting brush. That tends to be my goto out of my W&Ns. I very rarely use the 2 and 3. I do use the 0 for some detail work.

Thanks, that's really helpful. Are they series 7, or the series 7 miniature painting brush? That was the other thing that confused me, the miniature painting brushes seemed really stubby, and not likely to hold much paint. Yours looks like they may be standard series 7?

I've gone for a size 0 in standard series 7 and also the same size in the miniature painting style. From the picture I think that size will suit me best.

It'll be part of my Christmas present to myself, along with the new blood bowl.

Those are all "normal/standard" Series 7. I've never used one of the miniature ones feeling they look a little too small in the belly to carry much paint. Probably very nice for doing detail work like eyes however.

Sounds like it'll be a good Christmas!

Hmm.. do I have time to assemble the models for the blood bowl before Christmas? (No but I'm still going to try) So many bits of plastic. Are there any good plastic glues with a fine brush? I have citadel glue it flows out too quickly. I'm thinking a saucer and cocktail sticks?

Personally plastic glue wise I like EMA Plastic Weld (sometimes called plasweld) and an old brush! Certainly nothing nice!!! You'd not want to leave the bottle open since it evaporates quickly and is certainly not good for anything living! Still as plastic solvent glues go that's my choice, but it might not suit everyone.

I used them loads on my 10mm WFB, much less so on my 25mm.
