Who Sculpted My Beastpeople?

Old Hob

Baron
Hi folks. Sorry I haven't been around much this year. Still getting over being poorly, but hopefully I will be a bit more online over the next few months.

I was wondering if I might take advantage of the big brains on here. I'm actually making reasonable progress on some '80s broo and beastmen, but there are a few where I'm unsure on who sculpted them. All wild guesses welcome.

CH4 Braksh (maybe Kev Adams?) https://miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=File:Citadel-CH4-06.jpg
CH4 Zolkor (Kev?) https://miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=File:Citadel-CH4-07.jpg
CH4 Merd (Kev?) https://miniatures-workshop.com/lostminiswiki/index.php?title=File:Citadel-CH4-09.jpg

Thank you

Cheers Eric. I've been told that the CH4 chaps are by Bob Olley - which may be true, but they don't really seem to be his style - his beastmen are very distinctive.

well.. later issues of Braksh, Zolkor and Merd have them lumped together with the credits being
Jes Goodwin, Kevin Adams & Mark Copplestone.

which are the CH4 ones. so I would say its pretty safe (though not always 100%) that those three are by one (or more) of them three.

So yeah, not Bob Olley. What annoying, Is I'm pretty sure that 'Rend' is a Jes Goodwin sculpt.. but he isn't one of the ones you are trying to ID.. no.. scratch that, I'm 95% sure it's a Jes Goodwin sculpt.

Which made me look closer.. Merd might be a Jes Goodwin. Looking at the fur on the leg and the horns.. they are atleast the same way he did them, but that doesn't mean he DID do that figure.

And seeing a better image of Zolkor, with his tail and better look at head details, I wanna say that is Jes Goodwin too. It's Braksh that is the odd one out of them three I think

Thank you. The initial release advert didn't have artists credited, so that's a really useful tip to go look at the later adverts. Much appreciated.

Yeah, I was sure they weren't Olley. I could see some being Goodwin for sure, but Braksh is the only one I've painted so far and he 'feels' Adams to me - I think it's the big hands.

possible. Zolkor has a very Jes Goodwin skaven pose (Rend even having a very Jes Goodwin skaven head and fur) and Merd did remind me of alot of the same features. where Braksh was a bit of an odd one out. I think, like most people, I'm more familiar with Adams goblinoid designs ^_^
