WHFB 3rd Edt. Kemler, Mikael, Ranlac and Krell - Level?

Fellow Oldhammerers!

I am currently working upon a WHFB 3rd Edition Undead Army, based upon Heinrich Kemler, Krell, Ranlac and MJ. The initial release of the Terror of the Lichemaster was based upon WHFB 2nd Edition Rules. What I would like to ascertain is what level of Hero each model would represent in game for 3rd Edition?

If I compare the stats from the Terror of the Lichemaster, both Ranlac and MJ fall between a lowly Skeleton Warrior and a Level 5 Hero under 3rd Edition Rules (you'd think Mikael Jacsen would have the stats of a Chaos Lord judging by his price on ebay!! hahahaaa!)

Krell is close to a Level 15 in 3rd Edition and Kemler himself is a Level 20ish Necromancer?

So would you suggest:

Ranlac the Black: Level 5/10
Mikael Jacsen : Level 5/10
Krell: Level: 15
Hienrich Kemler: Level 20

I of course could determine the level of each as I see fit for my needs, but as they are 'Named Characters' and steeped in Citadel history I'd also like to try and stay true to their original incarnations.

Thanks in advance for any tips/advice.

PS: Sorry if this should belong in the General Discussion forum? Wasn't sure, as it sits in both I suppose?!

Cheers

Gary

Re: WHFB 3rd Edt. Kemmler, Mikael, Ranlac and Krell - Level?

I'd be more inclined to make Kemmler lvl 25 and the rest the lvls you say.

Re: WHFB 3rd Edt. Kemmler, Mikael, Ranlac and Krell - Level?

I'll have to cross this bridge later this year too, so I might as well put my thoughts down.

I'd go with intention rather than rules:

I'm happy to leave Ranlac and MJ as level 5 unit champions - the write up on them is wholly unremarkable and they don't have any magical equipment.

Kemler is The Lichemaster. Totally level 25, no doubts. To drive this point home, he should probably have one or two thrall liches. Also, I'd leave his sword exactly as described in v2 - make it a special 'Kemler only' sort of thing.

Krell is an interesting one. Given that this is Kemler's 'last shot', I doubt he'd have committed what he has just to raise some arbitrary level 15 hero - remember, he's looking for a mighty champion of chaos (and has basically bargained his life on this). So, I'd pitch him either at 20 or 25...

...or. for maximum interest (and probably where I'd go with this when I get there), generate him from Realms of Chaos as an Undead Champion, using a level 20 or 25 warrior as a seed.
