Okay, I can get that Children miniatures aren't often made in games of war, despite a long and.. controversial history of their direct involvement but NPCs like villagers, random civilians etc miniatures used to be.. well, made with various children for Fantasy, modern and sci-fi..
But there doesn't appear to be a huge lot of them these days, and even less within more classic designs. looking around... there really doesn't seam to be much I can find..
Right now, I'm mostly trying to find a long hair peaceful/innocent looking girl (child) in a simple long dress. though there are others later on, it's more just looking for stuff and finding a ... big gap in the market.. I have kinda made do with some more specialists (I have one miniature that is taking forever use to having to sculpt a full head helmet of a ... certain type which is a bit tricky for me so I'm having to learn and experiment, and a couple of figures I'm having to do alot of filing and some editing of hair styles and the link to get as close as I can and.. try to use paint to trick bits into looking right).. using old Doctor Who Blacktree/Harquin/EOE miniatures, but sometimes, you can only do soo much.. and even then.. they didn't really use children much.. some of the younger companions were younger or atleast played younger (hell, Carole Ann Ford was in her 20s and married when she played about a 16 year old).. and the Movie Susan which is probebly about the right size is completely wrong..
I know sculpting smaller figures is much harder but.. is there just a huge lack of many different types of children and stuff or I'm I just looking in the wrong places and using the wrong 'search words' when trying to search through huge online stores?
