Weird pipers from beyond space and time

A just finished these three happy chaps from beyond. They’ll be serving as generic demons in a scenario that I have planned to host this fall. They are from Metal Magic’s great Cthulhu mythos range. Lovely, lovely demonic creatures that fit nicely into my Oldhammer universe.
Any thoughts?
Cheers

Oh they are just great, almost look like lost Tony Ackland drawings from Realm of Chaos, nice paints and basing too.

Always knew Chaos Spawn needed regimental musicians! What special rules are you thinking of for these beauties?

I have not decided on anything yet concerning the demons and their special rules. Their pipes definitely need to come into play. I was thinking that the weird, bacchant sound of their horns would need a table to roll on. Every model within the range of the music has to test against WP. If the model fails a number of things could happen: Arousal and frenzy, madness and crazy singing, hypnotized stupor, somnambulant walking towards the demons, bleak visions of the chaos wastes, fear causing screaming etc. Roll a D12 with 12 as the most unpleasant result. I love the chaos such tables ensue on the tabletop.
Well, that’s just some thoughts. Thanks for the comments.

Might want to look at the rules for a Singing weapon for ideas (Slaves to Darkness pg90 - also shrieking and screaming as I'm looking at it)

Thanks for the tip. The Singing weapon might indeed be a good outset for my table.

Did not know that Metal Magic had a Cthulhu range. Theye look excellent. I agree a random table sounds like a good idea. Maybe they could cause people to damce uncontrolably like the JIG spell from the Sorcery books.

Yes! Great Idea to get inspiration from the JIG spell. Thanks for the suggestion.

Sorry if someone has already said it, but some of the models -- including these guys, I believe -- are still available from em-4. I have a few, but not those ones.

"Wise men have interpreted dreams and the Gods have laughed"...
Man, as a Lovecraft fan, it's great to see some of those minis ! I actually just discovered the range with this post, and it makes me want to invest into those kind of monstrosities...
A great color scheme, really in tune with the author atmosphere. Any other Cthulhu-esque figures in sight ?

Thanks for the nice comment!
And yes. I’m actually planning to add done piper more to this group from a different company. But beyond that I’m not sure at the moment. I’ll recommend having a go at these minis though. I’m painting goblins at the moment.

Cheers
