Warhammer Fantasy repaints

2nd try at posting, my images don't seem to want to show properly. *edit* Huzzah! they're showing now.

I've been slowly getting through my old lead recently so rather than posting loads of separate threads, I'll put them here. This is my Warhammer Fantasy stuff and I have hundreds more to strip and repaint.

Wizard. I think there was a mounted version of this guy as well.

I may as well keep all my stuff in one thread so here's the newest strip and repaint. One of the old Mercenaries figures from around the late 80s I think, I used to just buy stuff at random back then.

A bit of a lull in posts from me but I have been working away. I've finished 3 of my Trollslayers that I stripped recently, I'm going to start another 3 over the weekend if I get the chance.

I've been missing the guy at the front for years but stumbled onto one on ebay. I was also missing the barrel so converted one from a bit of scenery I had.

Nice work on the repaints. Love the empire drummer the purple/yellow/red works really well. Favourite has to be the dwarfs as I've got a huge soft spot for any dwarf. Have to ask what paints were used for the blonde hair on the flame cannon as its a colour I always struggle with.

The drummers colours are based on one of the state colours in the old Army Book, I'd have to look which one but I was picking ones based on what I thought would fit.

As for the hair... eeeep! I tend to make stuff up as I go sometimes. I think it was Averland sunset, a wash of sepia and then working back up with dorn yellow and a little white. I wanted a blonde colour to make him look younger while the smarter, more experienced guy is at the back.

Are they wasting perfectly good booze on that flamethrower? Geeze! Still, they do look great. And I suppose if it means they're more likely to be alive to drink the rest of the booze after the battle then it'll do nicely. Great stuff!
