Using Power Packs on Fantasy style Chaos Minis

Hello, I asked this in a discord server but I'd like to get a larger pool of opinions on this as I am, by nature, a very indecisive person. I want to make a chaos renegades army for Rogue Trader using oldhammer styled minis, but I also don't want to break the bank buying from ebay. Knightmare *does* make realms of chaos art inspired chaos marines, but only 5 sadly, and I don't want to make an entire army that's just 5 very unique guys duplicated, so I'm thinking of using their chaos warriors inspired guys as champions of chaos and slapping power packs to them, maybe adding a bolter/bolt pistol here and there. Also, mildly unrelated, but I can't seem to choose between khornate night lords or slaaneshi alpha legion, both sound like really neat ideas

I could totally see that mini working as a Chaos Space marine with suitable backpack (good timing!). That particular mini has more of a Khorne feel to me and I think they'd take the odd bolt gun quite nicely. You could always do a bit of packing around the heads (if they are generally skulls) to make the skull more like a skull faced helmet. It'd also be easy enough to sculpt over the boots if you wanted to make them more "armour like".

ehem.. no.. you don't.. Not a copy of something that does exist and is under copyright etc. Making decent Chaos Space Marine backpacks is pretty easy.. though like with alot of chaos (more so the space marines), very same-y.. and ordered.. and very not chaos..

These haven't existed since before I was born and hasn't been sold since, considering the modern chaos packs are copied and used as STLs, I don't see how someone couldn't do that with something looooooooooooooong out of production

ugh.. don't try the 'tons of people murder, there for murder shouldn't be against the law' defence..

check around the forum and it's rules on this reguard. Or just PM or ask an admin.. not trying to be nasty or anything but.. and 'long out of production'? check into copyright laws.. none of the miniatures are that old. I got some Mythical Earth figures from Minifig in 1973, and they aren't old enough..

I'll drop the topic after this due to forum rules, but it's crazy you can compare me saying "something that doesnt exist anymore being available again would be nice" to "murder is fine" just because you disagree

Didn't say I disagreed.. also never said something which you can buy doesn't exist.. but yes.. dropping issue.
