Urban Construct Civilians For Rogue Trader

I have begun building a small settlement of my own, mostly meant for sci-fi games, but most of the buildings will work for modern, near future or post apocalypse settings too. Naturally the town must be inhabited by someone else than Space Marines, Orks, Saurians and other conflict oriented miniatures, so I begun collecting and painting some civilians to fill out the streets.

First up is a set of sci-fi civilians from Urban Construct.

The complete set ready to go about their daily buisness.

I think the models are quite good. Not the best I have seen, but they are simple and will work well in the settlement I am building. They also scale up with Rogue Trader and most other miniatures I use. Still I took some scale shots:

L-R: Black Hat, U.C., Spacelords, U.C., Rogue Trader.

And up the wall for a group shot.

Definitely the right size, and the sculpt quality is passable. I think the female with the tight hood is proably my favourite of the bunch. As i said on your blog, I've been indecisive on getting a set for a little while now, but your pics have really helped! Nice little urban set up you have too :)

I would have loved more in the style of the female in the tight hood too. She really is up my alley as sci-fi goes. But the others are quite useable too.

Starting to look like a nice little settlement!

Quick question...I'd love to have a set of figures representing a Starship Crew...do any of these "off-brand" companies make one that sizes well with RT figures?

Keep up the good work!

Blue - I've got the Acropolis Future City Starship crew on order from The Baggage Train. I'll let you know whether they're any good when they arrive.

I'll add a vote for the Spacelords figures. They're a fraction shorter than RT figures, but not enough to look out of place. Any they're a good fit stylistically.

You can see the ship doctor in my scale photo, he is larger than the Rogue Trader psyker, but smaller than the Eldar Trader. I think they work out ok.

The Acropolis is ok too in scale. I have some somewhere, but some of their proportions are a bit strange on some miniatures.

I'm definitely most interested in this project ;) and I must say it is turning good, or even better. Love it!

I know Curtis and I have a long want list from Ramshackle Games, I just never seem to get around to put in that order when I have the money.

It is always a strugle to chose where to order next time.
